Thank you for attending the Fall 2024 Engineering Expo and Interview Day! The Spring 2024 and Fall 2024 Engineering Expos were our largest ever! Thanks to all the great companies who shared their co-op, internship, and career opportunities with our Engineering Vols!

Our Engineering Expo is an ideal event for recruiting engineering co-op and internship students. With our students, we focus on the educational aspects of the co-op and internship process and encourage them to seek positions that match their academic and career goals.

Schedule

Spring 2025 Engineering Expo

March 4 | 1–5 p.m.

The Engineering Expo is an open forum where you will meet students interested in co-ops and internships. Students will visit your booth looking for company information and answers to what they may learn by participating in your organization as an engineering co-op or intern.

The registration fee for the Engineering Expo is $525 (regular Corporate Rate), which includes one table and two chairs in a 10 x 10 space. Electricity for your booth space is available directly from the Convention Center paid the day of the event for $75.00.

Interview Day

March 5 | 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m.

The Interview Day is typically structured for 30-minute intervals, which allows you to maximize the number of students you can speak with during the day. You can adjust your schedule to fit your needs. Please conclude each interview 5-10 minutes before the stated end time to allow students to be on time for their next interviews.

All interviews must conclude by 5 p.m.

Separate registration is required.

The registration fee for the Interview Day is $125 (regular Corporate Rate), which includes one table and two chairs in a 10 x 10 space. Electricity for your booth space is available directly from the Convention Center paid the day of the event for $75.00.

Pre-Expo Checklist

Use this handy checklist to ensure you are ready for the Expo!

  • Login to Handshake and ensure you have paid by the early fee deadline.
  • Find a place to stay in Knoxville and check out some of our downtown restaurants.
  • Freight—Review day-of drop-off point mapping or ship your materials using the Knoxville Convention Center’s shipping form. Ambassadors will be in place to guide you on event day.
    • Note: The Knoxville Convention Center does not handle any vendor/exhibitor freight. You must contact the in-house decorator, ACES, for pricing on drayage. Contact info: Wesley Mullins 865-740-3710 or wes@allconventionexpo.com.
  • Order electricity for your booth in advance or at the designated booth on Expo day.
  • Standard Wi-fi is provided at no cost (and separated from the student network).
    • Note: Order private internet services by contacting the Knoxville Convention Center’s IT Department which can be reached at 865-251-6017 or by email it.admin@asmknoxville.com.
  • Primary vendor parking details will be at the Blackstock and Poplar lots. An update will be sent closer to the event.

Cancellations

We recognize that circumstances may change. Cancellations made prior to 10 business days before the expo will be fully refunded. Cancellations between 5-10 business days will be refunded at 50%, while no refunds are provided within 5 business days of the expo. As an alternative to a refund, credit toward a future event may be of interest and can be reviewed with the director on a case-by-case basis.

Check-In and Booth Information

Upon arrival, visit the check-in table and be escorted to your booth area, which includes one 6 feet by 3 feet table and two chairs. We recommend limiting the number of attending recruiters to a maximum of four attendees per booth space.
