Co-op ambassadors are students who have completed work assignments and represent the program in the EPP office and at events. They can answer questions about the program and assist with registration and orientation.
Key ambassador activities include:
- Career Readiness Preparation: Ambassadors spend at least two hours per week during each fall and spring semester meeting with incoming interested students and share information about career readiness including: resume writing, resume review, mock interviews, building cover letters, and more.
- Program promotion to student body: Provide positive feedback to prospective students about the professional practice programs. Speaking to students in classrooms about this program is one key element of this promotional activity.
- Support for major program events: Ambassadors help with the logistic of the events such as helping students during the Engineering Cookout and helping employers during the Engineering Expo.
- Assisting with general office duties as needed: From time to time, ambassadors may be asked to assist greeting guests as they enter the professional practice office space and directing them to the appropriate person.
- Leadership development training: Throughout the year there will be leadership development training and/or team building meetings available to ambassadors and attendance at these events is required.
Ambassadors are available for:
- Student orientation meetings
- General questions about resumes, degree plans, and more
