EPP and CCDAE Embed Career Coaching for Engineering Students

Justin D’Agostino, career coach for engineering in the Center for Career Development and Academic Exploration (CCDAE), will now meet exclusively with engineering students in the Engineering Professional Practice (EPP) Office in the Zeanah Engineering Building or virtually. Previously, students traveled to the CCDAE office in the Student Union or met with D’Agostino online. By relocating to Zeanah, career coaching is now embedded directly within the college, making support more accessible and convenient for engineering students.

This addition increases accessibility and day-to-day engagement with engineering students and faculty while adding another layer of graduate and post-graduate planning closer to engineering students. By embedding career coaching within EPP, CCDAE and EPP are working more closely together to provide consistent, coordinated support throughout the student experience.

“Being physically located in the EPP office allows me to be more present and proactive with TCE students,” said D’Agostino. “Career development should be part of the engineering journey from the first year through graduation.”

Both offices offer one-on-one career coaching, resume and cover letter reviews, interview preparation, and salary negotiation conversations.

Darrin Rhines, senior director of corporate partnerships, emphasized the value of the partnership. “This collaboration makes career coaching more convenient for engineering students and ensures we are aligned in how we support their professional development. It is a win-win.”
