J. Michael Stone Engineering Professional Practice Leadership Development Program
This program has been specifically crafted for engineering students engaged in co-op and internship assignments through our office.
While on assignment, students choose from a selection of world-class books about leadership development and communication skills. They are challenged to apply learning found in these books throughout their assignments.
The program also advances leadership development learning opportunities through various on-campus speakers from the business world. These leadership experiences:
- Extend student academic knowledge.
- Enhance the experiential learning process.
- Foster problem-solving and critical reflection.
- Encourage lifelong learning.
The program began in 2014 thanks to the generosity of alumnus J. Michael Stone (‘63).
