Profile
I come from a small town in Middle Tennessee with a population of just a few thousand. Throughout my childhood, I worked odd-jobs from carpentry to lawn-mowing to tutoring, spurned on by my parents insisting that lots of hard work and a little luck will get you anywhere in life. I have been blessed with a significant amount of luck in the internships and opportunities I have been given over the years. My first internship was directly out of high school, during the COVID-19 pandemic. I worked as a Maintenance Intern for a local facility from which I gained incredible experience in both management and teamwork. Then, I landed my first engineering internship after sophomore year at I.C. Thomasson & Associates, a MEP firm based out of Nashville. I worked with a team of engineers and architects to help design some of the latest projects in both Nashville and Knoxville. I made a great number of contacts and friends in each of those fields. I took a co-op in Fall 2022 at Draexlmaier Group in Duncan, SC, which brought me even more manufacturing and project management experience. Draexlmaier also introduced me to large-scale corporate standards and methodologies, some of which have changed how I do my own work. Finally, I have begun my latest internship with Texas Instruments here in Knoxville, where I am focusing on honing my Electrical Engineering degree in Analog Design. Outside of work, I read books, play guitar, shoot basketball, and too many other hobbies to list here.
